What the client needed
A three-sided barn to house farming/irrigation equipment from the elements. The existing location for this equipment was too far away and not big enough. The client needed a larger facility with closer proximity to vineyard operations.
How did we accommodate the client's needs and deliver the result they wanted?
JB Steel designed a custom steel structure barn with reclaimed wood sidewalls and Corten roofing that cascaded down the main back wall. Given that the barn would be placed in a location where clientele would be driving by it before they entered the vineyard, the barn’s design matched the beautiful aesthetic of the existing facility structures to give it a feeling of cohesiveness.
What services did we provide on this project?
Design, Steel Detailing, General Contracting & Construction Management, Steel Fabrication, Steel Installation, Concrete, Roofing & Siding.
What obstacles did we overcome?
The client had an extremely tight timeline. We began the design in mid June 2021 and we were able to complete the design, permitting, fabrication, and installation all before the end of November 2021.
